quietMrs. Donoval’s video “Quiet In The Hall” debuted at our Sheridan School Sharing Day on Wednesday, December 2.

As you will see in the video, Mrs. Donoval’s second grade students have something to say about why it is important for students to be quiet in the hall.

And quite to the surprise of Mr. Koch, Mrs. Donoval’s class, with the help of Mr. O’Malley and Mrs. Newtown, created a “thank you” video that was also presented at the Sheridan School Sharing Day assembly. Be sure to view it past the credits where you will see a couple of cute “bloopers.”

We have completed our final multimedia project for this school year. Miyamoto’s Podcasts is a collection of four reports written by students from Mrs. Miyamoto’s 4th grade Explore class.

Students began with their written reports and from there we created “enhanced podcasts.” (An enhanced podcast is simply a spoken word audio recording ”enhanced” with images, sound effects and music tracks.)

Our four podcasters and topics are:
Olivia – American Idol
Maikal – The Beatles
Lilly – Otters
Grant – Video Games

Instead of embedding the podcasts here on our Sheridan Showcase, we created a stand alone website to spotlight these wonderful podcasts.

There are two ways to access the new Miyamoto’s Podcasts website:

1. Click here to go directly to Miyamoto’s Podcasts, or
2. Go to our District 67 web page (www.lfelem.lfc.edu) and choose Sheridan Elementary from the Schools pull-down menu. Click on the Mrs. Miyamoto’s Podcasts link located in the column on the right side of the page.

Enjoy the summer!
